Eclectic Odds & Ends for Your Emerald Isle Beach Home
This isn’t Your Typical Beach Souvenir Shop!
If you’re looking for a funky selection of slightly eccentric “island-themed” home and fashion accessories, you owe it to yourself to stop by this neat little boutique on your way to Indian Beach from Emerald Isle. With an adjacent convenience store and gas station, Flip Flops is owned by Ms. Marcie G. Creech (FYI-Marcie is NOT associated with the Crystal Coast Blog). Marice has one of the finest collections on the island for home accessories including painted “beach-themed” furniture. Utilizing local Carteret County artist, including Shirley Pittman and works by Gwen Jordan, their pieces will spice up any room in your Crystal Coast home. One other NC artist that offers some really interesting work is Deborah Cavenaugh from Wilmington.

I have a request that you may not be able to do…but I was in your store this past weekend and purchased some of the stickers that are sitting on your check-out counter – and now have requests for more. Is there ANY WAY I could describe the ones we want, and I can send you cash for them and have you mail them to me? I will not be down that way for quite some time……..
Thank you???!!!
Rhonda Please email back and let me know if this is a “do-able” thing..:-) rsummers@atmc.net

I was lucky enough to come to Emerald Isle about two years ago on vacation. While there I happened upon your delightful store. I purchased a great little fuzzy bottomed coozie to use in my classroom when I returned to teaching my little sixth grade darlings. I am still recieving compliments about my great little fuzzy bottomed coozie. I am about ready to replace my little fuzzy coozie and would like to know if you still carry them. Thank you for my dialy flash back to a great summer vaction at Emerald Isle, Denise

I am sort of a local to the crystal coast being from Greenville, NC. I visit Emerald Isle quite often 2 or 3- x’s a year. On my last trip, I decided to stroll through Flip Flops. It was a very interesting boutique. I saw so many unique (certain 1 of a kind) items. The dainty delightful artwork were masterpeices of simple ways to make your house a home. The beach themes were timeless treasures to create a cheerful way to express your love of the coast beyond special vacations or summer getaway fun memories. The pet accessories also extended a bright and happy way to share your love of the our beautiful coastal shores. I will be delighted to include your boutique as a “must see” on all our future visits to Emerald Isle, NC.

Hi Sharon – As much as I would like to say I own Flips Flops in Emerald Isle, I don’t. In fact, I wrote a post about this not long after I wrote this post just so families just like you traveling on vacation to the Crystal Coast would know. (http://www.crystalcoastblog.com/17/flips-flops-in-emerald-isle/)
I’m sure the owner of Flip Flops will be glad to hear you will be dropping in on all future trips from Greenville, NC to Emerald Isle. Have a great summer! Bobby – Your Crystal Coast Blogger.
