So what’s your best guess? Here is a nugget of information that just may help you find that prized Crystal Coast vacation home or permanent Bogue Banks home. Web-savvy Crystal Coast real estate agents prefer to have a “new listing” debut on the Carteret County Multiple Listing Service (MLS) on a Friday. Results from research sponsored by Seattle-based online real estate brokerage Redfin indicates homes that debuted on Fridays experienced more views, hence more website visitors. The research also indicated the least favorable day to debut a Crystal Coast property is on a Thursday.

Helping You Get Your Crystal Coast Property Ready for the Market
Spring will be here before you know it and you know what that means. The prime home selling season cranks into full gear. If you have plans to place your Crystal Coast property on the market, now is the time to start prepping your Crystal Coast beach home or condo for the market. Just remember – in the current Crystal Coast real estate market environment, you must have your Emerald Isle, Salter Path, Pine Knoll Shores or Atlantic Beach home ready for the market the moment it debuts on the MLS (multiple listing service). To do otherwise places you and your Crystal Coast home at a distinct disadvantage and it might wind up costing you thousands of dollars or possibly delay the sale of your home.

The Return Trip to Emerald Isle
By now it was approaching early afternoon and the wind had picked up. Obviously, a return by way of the Atlantic was out of the question. I asked my trusty navigator, Pam my wife, to plot a course for us to return via Taylor’s Creek on the Beaufort waterfront for our return trip back to Emerald Isle. Taylor’s Creek is a scenic trip and I highly recommend that trek. Just remember, all along the waterfront is a “no wake zone”, so take that into account when calculating your time. Beaufort is a pretty little town filled with neat shops, good restaurants and interesting homes. If you have time, check it out if you’re near Morehead City.

And We Live to Tell About it!
If you own a boat and live on the Crystal Coast, or maybe vacation here, no doubt you’ve traversed the ICW to the “Hook” of Cape Lookout. You may have even conquered the Beaufort Inlet out to the “deep water” and followed the shoreline of Shackelford Banks. I suspect you’ve spotted the ponies as you made your way to Cape Lookout. Or maybe you took the easier “path” via the inside passage to avoid the big swells of the Inlet. I assure you, each trip you take will be memorable.

Biking on the Crystal Coast
Each year it seems the popularity of bicycling grows here on the Crystal Coast. One only has to watch the
steady stream of vacationers with bike racks filled with bicycles cross the Cameron Langston Bridge from Cedar Point to Emerald Isle. No doubt, the bike path that parallels Highway 58 in Emerald Isle is a major reason for so many bicycle racks jammed with bikes. If you’re one the many families traveling to the Crystal Coast from distant locales like Ohio or maybe Pennsylvania, you might have second thoughts strapping several bikes to your trunk or lip of your minivan.
